Change the Video Playback Speed in youtube

The video player of YouTube supports quite a few keyboard shortcuts to help you quickly skip forward or backward in a video.

You may increase the video playback speed by 2x (a 4 minute video will play back in two minutes) or slow it down by a factor of .25 so that the same 4 minute clip takes 16 minutes to play back. Increase the play speed if the video presentation is boring or decrease when you are transcribing what’s being said in the video.

This new option is still being rolled out and may not be available across all YouTube videos

For instance, while a video is playing, you can press the ‘0’ key to move the play head to the beginning of a video. Press the left or right arrow keys will let you go back or forward in a video by 10%. Alternatively, you may use number keys to jump to specific sections of a video – the key ‘1’ will move you to the 10% mark, ‘2’ to the 20% mark and so on.

Other than supporting shortcuts, the YouTube player now also lets you alter the playback speed of a video so that you may fast-forward, or slow-down, the video with a click

As we all know Youtube has a very large database of videos that we watch online.
 we  love to watch videos and want to download videos to watch again and again but youtube doesn't provide any method to download video.So we always search for software .


so i found a new trick which do not need any software. 
only you have to follow following steps

THIS TRICK IS FOR MOZILLA FIREFOX...

STEP1: OPEN THE DESIRED VIDEO IN YOUTUBE, MATACAFE, OR ANYTHING ELSE..

STEP2: TYPE about:cache IN YOUR BROWSER's ADDRESS BAR

STEP3: A PAGE WILL OPEN HAVING CACHE INFO.
FROM THERE COPY THE ADDRESS OF CACHE Directory FROM "Disk cache device" SECTION
IT WILL BE LIKE SOME WHAT LIKE
C:\Documents and Settings\.......\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\hc6pnitc.default\Cache
(SEE SCREEN SHOT)

STEP4: OPEN MY COMPUTER, PASTE ABOVE DIRECTORY ADDRESS IN ADDRESS BAR, i.e. NAVIGATE TO CACHE DIR.
THERE YOU WILL SEE MANY FILES.

STEP5: CLEARE CACHE OF UR BROWSER, NOW IN THAT FOLDER THERE WILL BE 4-6 FILES LEFT, RELOAD YOUTUBE PAGE AGAIN, N PLAY THE FULL VIDEO
U'LL SEE IN CACHE DIR. 2-3 MORE FILES ARE THERE. SO COPY THE FILE WITH LARGEST FILE, PASTE IN UR PC. N RENAME WITH EXTENSION .flv

DONE....

EVERY TIME YOU PLAY VIDEO JUS CLEAR CACHE N CHECK THE CACHE FOLDER, N COPY THE LARGEST FILE.

TO SELECT LARGEST FILE, JUS RE-ARRANGE FILES BY SIZE. N SELECT THE LAST ONE.

Last nigth i am surfing internet and visited a beautiful site named techie-buzz
i am greatly inspired by one beautiful post so i also want to share with technowit readers.

Salman Khan, a man who gave up a successful career in Silicon Valley

to teach people using Youtube videos. He’s posted over 1200 videos covering everything from basic arithmetic and algebra

to differential equations, physics, chemistry, biology and finance.

Why does Khan do it? He’s not in it for the money. According to a recent interview, Khan said “You know, I think I’ve always enjoyed teaching.”

I believe him. His videos are not the dry lectures you’d expect from a geek. His enthusiasm shines through in the 10 to 20 minute videos.
